2009 AUDITION INFORMATION |
Auditions will be held the last weekend in September.
Call backs will be held the first weeknd in October.
- The Dance and Flag portions are required and the sabre and rifle are highly encouraged but not mandatory.
- Auditions consist of technique blocks and choreography to music in all four areas: Dance, Flag, Rifle and Sabre
- Prospective members are asked to wear form fitting dance attire and have their hair pulled out of their face.
- We rehearse barefoot, dance paws, tan socks and foot wraps are permitted but no dance sneakers.
- Please bring your own equipment, especially weapons. We spin 36" King sabres and 39" King Rifles.
- There is a $35.00 Non- Refundable Audition fee
- There will be downloadable release forms available online in August that must be turned in before participation in auditions.
- We are looking for male and female performers for our 2009 production. You must be a high school graduate to audition for Northeast Independent
- High school students are welcome to attend auditions for "the NEi experience" and can participate in all of our audition process.

Northeast Independent is based out of Jacksonville, FL. We are members of the FFCC and WGI. We will compete in several local circuit shows as well as 3 WGI Regionals and WGI World Championships.
The 2009 Dues are estimated to be around $1250.00.
There are many fundraising opportunities to offset out of pocket expenses.

4/12/08 Northeast WINS BRONZE MEDAL at WGI!
Northeast placed 3rd at WGI World Championships capturing the BRONZE MEDAL with a score of 96.60. From WGI.org:
"Every season Northeast Independent (3rd Place, 96.60) seems to get stronger and more confident, pushing ever closer to the top of the WGI activity. Performing on a floor tarp resembling an oil-smeared map, the boys have a vaguely military/punk look, while the girls are costumed in sparkly blues and purples. This year the unit is absolutely spectacular. An electrifying orange all-flag ensemble was one of the weekend’s most effective."
3/8/08 WGI South Power Regional Champions!
Northeast placed first in prelims and finals at the WGI South Power Regional with a final score of 92.8. Next up, FFCC Championships and then off to WGI for WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!
3/8/08 Orlando Regional Champions!
Northeast placed first at the WGI Orlando Regional with a score of 90.2.

2/8/08 First Regional Success!
Northeast placed first in prelims at their first regional of the year against Pride of Cincinnati, Phantom Regiment, & Fahrenheit. They finished second in finals with a final score of 85.60.

1/20/08 NORTHEAST WINS PREMIER!
Northeast took 1st place at the FFCC Premier with a score of 81.8 performing their 2008 program "Quietus"! The Knights were second with a 71.8 and Fahrenheit in 3rd with a 67.3. Northeast captians pictured below... Thank you captains for great leadership this season. View More Photos Here>
1/14/08 PRE-PREMIER UPDATE!
A big thanks to everyone who came out and supported the community groups at our 7th annual pre-premier event. We hope to see everyone at Winter Springs High School for FFCC Premiere on January 19th 2008.
